Dog Grooming
~Hi! I’m Misty ‘Sunshyne’ and I own Sunshyne Kennel.
~I am an ABC Certified Groomer.
~I trained under an NCMG Professional Groomer and a retired Competition Groomer.
~I continue my education through practice, research, studying and being an active member of the IAPEG.
~My business is insured and approved for business through the Secretary of State of NC.
~I am the only groomer at my facility so your pup is 1:1 with me through the whole process. And odds are - I’ll fall in love with your dog, too. <3

German Shepherd Breeding
Our German Shepherd Dogs are bred to breed standard for size and temperament with an emphasis made on health. Our mating pairs are friendly but protective of their families (read protectiveNOTaggressive). They have been genetic & health tested for breed specific diseases like DM. Our puppies come with a health guarantee for hereditary diseases and are vet checked, UTD on shots, dewormed and SO MUCH MORE before going to their forever homes.

People Training... errr umm.. DOG Training
Being a Certified Dog Trainer really means (for the most part) that I train people… how to train their dogs.
I was trained by a dog training professional with over 10 years experience within his own business and many more years of experience as a non-professional trainer.
I am willing and able to train your dog with or without you. If you choose the latter, please know there will still be some training for you so you can make use of the skills your pup has learned.
PLEASE NOTE: I do not currently take dogs for training that show aggression towards people.

First attempt at creative grooming / coloring. This 'zebra' was colored using ONLY dog safe dye!
Before & After of one of my favorite clients: Miss Cleo. She is just the sweetest girl and has been coming to SK for almost a year.
A fu man chu for one of my favorite guys- Conway. He's also had a mullet, hearts carved in his fur, a mohawk and more! His mom says "do whatever"- so Conway and I have fun!
Introducing puppies to grooming at an early age is crucial for dogs with continual growing hair/fur like poodles and shih tau's. I met this little cutie when she was just barely 8 weeks old- to introduce her to all the tools and sounds, give her a bath and trim around her eyes and feet. And of course we had a mini photo shoot!
Dolly the doodle is absolutely a doll to groom. She takes her spa days seriously and can be found just relaxing on the table or the tub during her grooming sessions :)
Oh my sweet walker! His parents take great care of his coat and even let it grow a little long- which I love! Doesn't he just have the cutest face?
